We support farmers in Mukono to grow the highest quality cocoa, using organic inputs and ensuring agroforestry models are followed to maximise the levels of production, and ensuring that every cocoa bean demonstrates farmers’ commitment to the standards set out by our certifying bodies. The cocoa pods grown by the smallholder farmers in Mukono are harvested ripe and their mature seeds scooped from the pods, fermented and dried for our clients. At EKiBBO, we are fully committed to sustainability and fair trade, allowing farmers to access higher premiums for their cocoa.
