Committed to supporting local farmers, we take pride in ethically sourcing the highest quality vanilla that we sell fresh to our local and international buyers. We work alongside smallholder farmers in Mukono to ensure that the beans are harvested when they are between 12 -20 cm long, fully ripe with yellow tips, around 9 months after pollination. The vanilla clusters are carefully harvested to protect the integrity of the product and ensuring the freshness is visible. EKiBBO’s dedication to sustainable farming practices ensures that each vanilla bean not only captures the essence of Mukono’s fertile soil but also contributes to the well-being of the community. We are committed to working together with our partners on supporting farmers in getting certified with Organic and Rainforest Alliance certification and exploring fairtrade certifications too – all assisting farmers in getting the maximum value addition for their premium products.
